Chick peas - 1 can
Other peas or beans - 1 can
Tahini
Other nut butter - almond/peanut or any
One large lemon
1/2 clove garlic chopped
2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (or any other cold pressed oil)
Pinch of salt
Juice and zest the lemon.
Drain the chick peas keeping the excess water from the can. Drain the beans.
Put the chick peas and beans into a bowl with a little oil and mash by hand to a rough paste.
Add 3 teaspoons tahini and 3 teaspoons nut butter. Again mash to a rough paste.
Mash the chopped garlic and some salt to a paste and add this and the lemon zest and juice.
Mash again and add the pea water to the correct consistency if required.
